Pizza, Pool & Games for IAT NW Branch Members
On Thursday 23rd January, Datesand hosted the 2020 IAT North West Branch AGM. A good turnout of 21 attended this particular event, mostly members from Manchester University, but also several Datesand members and other from CRUK, Envigo, Agenda and Tecniplast.
The original invite offered pizza, pool and games and Datesand did not disappoint! However, the meeting kicked off with a tour of the brand new Datesand HQ. It was a fantastic opportunity for friends in all areas of the business to get a first-hand look at the new set up and it seems that many were impressed by our new home.
Following the tour, everyone sat down to discuss the agenda for the year ahead while also reviewing the branches events of 2019. With a re-shuffle of the committee complete, it was then time to discuss some activities and events for 2020 and some exciting prospects seem to be coming into the works!
Once the business was out of the way, it was time for the play! Plenty of pizza arrived, kindly sponsored by Datesand, while attendees had a great time getting competitive with a few games of pool and a bit of fun on the Nintendo Wii.
All in all it was a very insightful AGM and another great get together for the IAT North West Members. We are actively encouraging all of our friends, customers and partners in the industry to get involved with your local branch. They provide exclusive opportunities and allow for all industry members to socialise at some fun and often unique events!
IAT North West members are also reminded at posters are now being accepted for the 2020 Steve Moore Memorial Poster Competition.
Your poster must be based on the 3Rs and must be submitted by 2nd April 2020. The winner will receive a trip to this year’s AALAS Conference in Charlotte, USA! Don’t miss out – email all entries to Nicky Windows at: firstname.lastname@example.org
